The Gérardmer Daffodil Festival

Posted on: November 27, 2024
The Daffodil Festival is a major event in the Grand Est region that shines a spotlight on these delightful springtime blooms, native to the local Vosges area. 90 years after the 1st festival, the year 2025 will see a revamped event, now running over the course of three days for an even more festive feel.

The decoration of each float is a painstaking task, requiring no fewer than 350,000 flowers.

The Daffodil Festival is a unique event that takes place every two years on the shores of Lake Gérardmer. To mark the occasion, the streets of the Pearl of the Vosges are fittingly decked out in yellow and green.

Programme for the 51st edition of the Daffodil Festival

  • Friday 04.04.25 at 7.30pm: opening of the Daffodil Festival.
  • Saturday 05.04.25 at 6.30pm: quilting Night.
  • Sunday 06.04.25: the traditional parade of around twenty floats will take to the streets of Gérardmer, following a newly devised route that will bring the whole town centre to life.

The event will also include a musical firework display, a major Celtic rock concert, a DJ evening and a host of national and international musicians performing in the centre of Gérardmer.
