Office de Tourisme Communautaire Gérardmer Hautes Vosges

Lake Longemer is just 5 minutes away from Domaine Les Terres Bleues.

Like Lakes Gérardmer and Retournemer, it dates back to glacial times. In 2002, Lake Longemer was classified as a ‘site of outstanding natural beauty’ to ensure its splendour was preserved for future generations. You can enjoy the serenity of the lake thanks to the water sports available on-site, but also when taking a stroll along its tranquil banks. The 5km hike is accessible to all, and takes you through a landscape of forests and majestic cliffs. Be sure to visit the Saint-Florent chapel, dating back to 1449, and Longemer Beach, the perfect place to cool off in summer.

For the more adventurous among you, the entire Valley of Lakes can be explored on mountain bike trails such as the Retournemer lake loop or the route linking the Saint-Florent chapel to Lake Lispach.

And winter sports are the order of the day at the ski resorts of Gérardmer and La Bresse, both just a 10-minute drive from the estate.

The Vosges Route des Crêtes

By car or by bike from the chalets, reach the heights of the Route des Crêtes, which extends over more than 70km and offers panoramic views of the Vosges and magnificent vistas over its many lakes. The Route des Crêtes also boasts historical significance due to the strategic role it played in the Great War. Today, numerous hiking and mountain bike trails are an invitation to discover the Vosges mountains and all their myriad flora and fauna.

Discover the famous ‘marcaire meals’ in one of the many excellent traditional farm inns dotted along the route. These inns are renowned for the artisanal way in which they prepare their produce and other typical Vosges and Alsatian dishes.

Please note, the Route des Crêtes is only open from May to November.
